It has been 125 years since Audi founder August Horch established his first company in Cologne - an occasion for Audi Tradition to celebrate this anniversary with the special exhibition “The grand opera - 125 years of Horch”.

The exhibition at the Audi Forum Neckarsulm includes a large number of exhibits from the long history of the Horch brand. Starting with the first Horch “Model 1”, through various models that have become milestones in automotive history, to the “last Horch”, visitors can take part in the history of one of the most glamorous brands in German automotive history and its rise to become the market leader in the luxury class. The pioneering spirit and striving for the latest technical innovations of its founder, August Horch, can be discovered in all models. Important highlights in the history of the automobile include the Horch 8 “Type 303”, the first series-produced automobile with an eight-cylinder engine sold in Germany, and the “Horch 670”, the first twelve-cylinder automobile to be mass-produced in Germany. The history of the Horch brand, which extends to the present day, is completed by the Audi A8 L Horch. This variant of the Audi A8, specially developed for the Chinese market and produced at the Neckarsulm site, carries the Horch name and thus the history of the brand into the future.

The elegant and special automobiles are staged against the backdrop of the world's most famous opera houses. They were photographed by the internationally renowned and award-winning artist Rafael Neff. The result is a unique interplay - a grand opera - of automotive and architectural works of art.
